So at the start for all of us there was define a lack of communication for all us, I think for me , I haven't work with the dfsa before so I thought I must try to see what will the experience will be for me

I think during the per-production we knew we were doing such an brave, and there was so much work to have been done in those period, I think that was one of thing that I really enjoys was trying really had to make this a unique dance video. I thought since most of us haven't work us, we were being too safe i our options and we didn't wanted to get anyone upset, this could be the reason as to why it was so slow, means there was a lot of catching up to do that we had to do.

I also wanted do the choreography of the piece and that something that I was looking forward to, after a while I then change my role as a Assistant director, this was really short notice since we kept changing our role so many times, as a assistant director I wasn't confident enough to officially do my role pro pally, I felt in some case I let the team down since we was constantly behind and that was my fault taken, I have tried to take some knowledge of assistance directing but honestly I felt like it was too much of a bigger role for me to take in such a small amount of time, if I had a longer time then I would take this much differently.

I enjoyed working with Kiruna our dancer she was understands and listen, and she know what she is doing, I think we needed more rehearsals, i thought when we practices she was doing fine however when actually filmed , there was some few step she missed and so I felt she wasn't herself when filming the breathe studio. however when we filmed in the Student union she felt more her self n stage since she was comfortable to do her moves. Overall I found working with her a great experience.

This was an eye opener for me, a stressful experience next I need to be more confident in what I'm doing and make sure that I'm engage fully with the role, and not be be afraid to take risk and to say no, in any situations, I think if you some up one think I learn and that is confidence and that is something that I'm learning to do.

Day 1 of 5
 Croosbury Common
So the first day of the Shoot there so many problems  from the start, it all start when we all met to Klara house at 9:00 sharp, before we can even get to the location, it has already rained and poor with rain , however we have limited time with the glide cam so we just had to get on with the job. I was making sure that the dancer was nice and dry, with the umbrella, we were running behind schedule since we did two trip to get to the location. It was such as long day, I think we should of been more prepare for cold weather, most of our hand got really numb after we done the shoot.

Day 2 of 5
 Breathe Studio
So we filmed in the breathe studio, we had a little dilemma  at the start we the manger we had to film in a different day, and there was a bit of confusion, however with a lot of persuasion we manage to still be able to film from 2-5pm, we had limit time to shoot so it was crucial that the team was able to finish doing the shot, we were slow in the beginning  I had to make sure that we were not behind, I tried to keep time, them on board and make sure that we weren't following behind, I also had to recap the dancer the moves that we did from the rehearsals so that she is aware from which moves is correct.

 Student Union 
So I made a call sheet and  before hand schedule to make sure that we know what we were doing before hand. me and Klara had to find ways of trapping the light through, this took time, we eventually got from help form Hannah the art technician to gives us black sheet of paper, we then use some duck tape to tape around the sheet of board, we help each other out to tape this together, once we have done, we then had to went straight into shooting cause we was 2 hours behind, however it didn't take us long to find out more issue came into the picture, the person we paid Owen wasn't able to control most to the lights and we find out, that he wasn't trained well enough to do the lights, this took time as well, however once we got the issue sorted we was ready to shoot, I made my queue to make sure the dancer know exactly what she is doing the the shoot.

Amy's house
I did the call sheets, So this was filmed in Amy House we have the equipment soy in her house, I made sure the dancer was aware and the time allocated for her, once again we was following behind schedule since there was some issue with the shot list in the beginning we didn't look at the location beforehand so we had to change the shots the was accommodated to her,

We did the additional shot that we mange to do in the previous

So during the Easter break we had to find another dancer because the dancer Malfada couldn't be able to continue to take part again because of too much work to be honest she missed about three rehearsals with me during that period from then that when I realized that she wouldn't be able to do, so me and the rest of the team try and find a dancer in a short space of time, we then tried and agree to meet up with her in the breather studio, this was my opportunity in such as short period of time to start everything again however with a different dancer, I met with her and we discussed and went straight on to choreography while Andre and Klara talked about the different shots that she can do.






Rehearsal
So I thought I should give the dancer a final rehearsal before we had to officially shoot on 8th of April, this give the dancer to prepare herself, I wanted to give her some tips and thought I also made sure the Andre was happy with the routine and if there was much improvement needed to be done.

So we did a bake sell on Thursday 17th  I went to Steve to get the risk assessment, a week ahead before the Bake sale, I informed Emma Stone, she recommend doing on Thursday, after that I made a list of ambitious recipes for people to try, I think I was a little too ambitious in terms of baking, which is in the link, this was basically the amount that we are aimed to raise in the bake sale. I made sure the and Klara generously donated her clothes with her We raised about £76 of the sale this a little what we have expected however still have tried to do the best we can as a team.               

In term of role ,rosie suggest for me to me director assistant and also for me to see how hard I can try instead of me being the directing the choreography. 

So we had a meeting with Rachel Palmer about further develop that we have done, so I recaped where we were at the moment in terms of to Rachel,  the story so far we were still at the process of doing the storyboard and we were stuck on some scenes and we made sure rachel was aware of it, we also told rachel are recent development getting the location and lighting test this was also the time Amy went and see the costume designesd at the moment all of us were doing separates thinks and we need to come together as a collective to look at in which we had issue lack of communication and we need to have an meeting, and at the moment everyone was doing there own thing and we need to come together to make everyone agree upon, cause at the moment each on hae an idea however some ideas needed to be compromised and sorted

So me and Andre and Amy went to see possible locations that Klara have found to this location, one of the location we went to was pretty far, end up it was just another house not even a studio that was there! For my opinion one of the best so far is the Breathe Studio, it was one the spacial and great locations that we all admire plus in ticked all boxed especially having a mirror at the side of the studio.

Here is some inspiration that I looked upon in this video, I was really inspired by the movement that was followed by her tiptoes. And the sublte gesture she have done




 Here is another video I enjoy, this is almost like a documentary of how people are training to do a rehearsals and a collective, I'm researching as to how the camera depict different movements and sections of movements and the ideas of progress is done in the clip. 

So while me and Klara went to the gallery trip and Andre went to see Rachel Tutorial to keep her updated on the story of the film and the work we put so far, After we got together and gave us feedback on what he tell Rachel,  he showed examples that her had inspired him, she said it was fine and she understand correctly, the read development, there is a lot of thing that she gave us to look at in terms of location, a place called The devil jumps and devil's punch bowl, we'll look into there location. She recommend me a book called Site Dance, by Melanie, to help me more in terms of choreography









I have research this book an many other piece of text and it about the idea dancer who have dance in unique and iconic locations, this is about the space and the enviroment that you are in will effect the the dancing routine.  


We also have to look at these terminology and piece philosophy this called Metholody and Pantu Mon I did look up some what these have meant in the term of the idea of reality vs imagery is kinder

So this was the first time we met Malfada, and we wont to see what she can to I ask her to do simple moves we put some much on and see how she respond to the music, we also explain if for our story it will be OK to us her grandma as our, is explain the different types of posture and attitude that we did, we also did a techniques that Klara and Andre liked and worked way around this until we have some moves that she liked

So we develop the idea of the Costume of the 'soul' from our last meeting. Expanding on the idea of the mask and what she will wear for the performance.




We were inspired by Masion Martin margiela mask- by Kanye west Mask, also using colours such as colours such as cold scheme, having violent and blues and green and then incorporating reds and vibrant yellows in the clips,We would like to have the Mask covering the whole face.

Also look at possible song that we might use in dance video, looking for more of an upbeat tempo that not the traditional.

Here is the Possible Location that I find for the dance studio, I researched many possible dance studios areas that we can do, one of the thing that I have noticed is that most dance companies tend to either practice in gym since they don't necessary have there own studio so it was a matter of going into different links and sites.
